Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR/Surgery RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an ambulatory surgery center in San Antonio, TX, requiring surgical circulator experience across multiple specialties.
Details
- Ambulatory surgery center (outpatient) setting
- Circulating OR nurse role covering ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery specialties
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift
- Schedule may vary each day based on case start times
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or a compact state currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
- Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience
- Experience circulating across multiple surgical specialties (ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery) required
- BSN preferred
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Active, unexpired copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
