Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract with a Monday–Friday day shift schedule and no on-call requirements.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Operating Room unit
- Typical daily patient load of 5–7 cases
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00–15:00 (5x8-hour shifts)
- 1–2 late stays per week expected to complete cases not finished by 15:30
- No on-call required
- No floating required
- Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active SC or Compact RN license required; pending license may be accepted if obtained prior to start
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required; candidates with 1 year may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation includes pass/fail testing on the first day: Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Moderate Sedation Test — candidates have one attempt to pass each
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests made after initial submission will not be considered
- The facility enforces an attendance policy for travelers — missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
