Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a California hospital, requiring perioperative experience and on-call availability for a day shift contract.
Details
- Day shift schedule: 06:30–15:00
- Surgical and Recovery Services unit within a hospital setting
- Perioperative patient population spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
- On-call availability is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Current PALS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC NIOSH resource
- Minimum 1 year of perioperative (OR) experience
- CNOR certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- Pre/Post Op experience preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the full nursing process in the peri-operative setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinates patient care in collaboration with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, and directs OR technicians and support personnel
- Reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
- Works cross-departmentally to ensure quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization
