Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at an ambulatory surgery center in Vail, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

- Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting in Vail, CO
- Operating Room unit
- Tier 1 surgical cases, with working knowledge or developing competency in more complex procedures
- Surgical patient population spanning all age groups from neonatal/infant through geriatric
- 3x12-hour day shifts
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
- Proficiency in sterile and aseptic technique
- Working knowledge of AORN standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include maintaining sterile field integrity, providing instrumentation to the surgical team, and monitoring for sterile field breaches
- Assists with patient transport, room turnovers, and room preparation
- Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
- Participates in the Time Out Process, including pre- and post-operative briefings and debriefings
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
