Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech with 2 years of cardiothoracic experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring rotating call, weekends, and holidays.
Details
- Work setting is a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) in a hospital environment
- Cardiothoracic surgical patient population with a 1:1 scrub-to-patient ratio
- Schedule is days, 3x12-hour shifts (5:00–17:00) with rotating weekends
- On-call is required on a rotating basis (every other weekend plus one weekday call shift per week)
- Must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call
- Block scheduling can be accommodated
- Meditech EMR experience is preferred but not required for this specialty
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, CST, and NBSTSA
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR/cardiothoracic surgical tech experience required
- DOB, SSN, and 2 professional references required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Scrub in on cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 65-mile radius rule applies
- Flu vaccine is required — no exemptions will be granted
- An on-site drug screen may be conducted at the start of the assignment
- All BLS and other certifications must be AHA-issued
