Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVOR position requiring cardiovascular surgery experience and ORT experience in a busy surgical suite.
Details
- Work in the Surgery department of a hospital with 9 OR suites, 1 GU suite, and 3 Women's OR suites
- Perform General Surgery, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, GYN, Plastics, Robotic-assisted, and Cardiovascular Surgery procedures
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Team includes RNs and Operating Room Technicians (ORTs)
- Uses equipment for General Surgery, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, GYN, and Robotics procedures
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Schedule is 36-40 hours per week with call rotation required
- Shift runs 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Floating is not required for this position
Requirements
- Active RN license (LA or Compact) required
- 1 year of recent CVOR/cardiovascular surgery experience required
- ORT experience required
- Basic OR intraoperative skills required
- Advanced robotics skills required
- Certification preferred; extensive hands-on experience in ortho, neuro, and general scrub required if not certified
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform intraoperative nursing duties across a variety of surgical specialties including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neuro, GYN, and robotic-assisted cases
- Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this position
