Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Urology Clinic position requiring Epic charting and prior urology outpatient experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient urology clinic setting
• Fast-paced clinic with a new patient and procedure scheduled every 30 minutes
• Supports one surgeon and one advanced practice provider
• Performs procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, and biopsies
• Uses bladder scanner and monitors vital signs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active RN license, VA or compact license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required (AHA course required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior urology outpatient clinic experience required
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and management
• Skilled in specimen collection and labeling, including urine UA/clean catch and urinalysis
• Skilled in vital signs, pulse oximetry, and pain assessment
• Skilled in interpretation of laboratory results

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a urology outpatient setting including catheter management, procedure support, and specimen collection
• Assist with a high-volume procedure schedule alongside a surgeon and advanced practice provider
• Prior permanent employees must have a 6-month gap before returning as a traveler
• RTO should be minimal, ideally none, with no more than 7 days total requested and included at time of initial submission
• No additional RTO requests approved after an offer is extended
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
