Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position requiring a WV or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

Details

• Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6, which may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule (7p–7:30a) on a rotating 36/48 schedule (3x12 one week, 4x12 the next)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope of practice required

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — no exceptions
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg RN experience required
• Hospital setting experience required
• Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Driver's license with address matching permanent address required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge Nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Middle name required for consideration; confirmation needed if no middle name

Additional Information

• Must be willing and able to work the rotating 36/48 schedule — inability to accept this schedule may result in cancellation
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
• Must work at least one major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
• Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
