Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring BLS certification and 1 years of experience.
Details
- Medical/Surgical unit in a Level 3 trauma acute care facility
- Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatric patients
- Common diagnoses include pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
- Patient ratio of 6:1 with current max patient load of 18, potentially increasing to 24
- Uses bladder scanner and glucometers
- Medhost EHR system
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or compact) required
- BLS certification required
- 1 years of RN experience required
- Critical care thinking skills preferred
- Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented Med/Surg unit
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
- Any scrub color permitted; casual wear not acceptable
