Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level III trauma facility in Athens, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Works on a Medical/Surgical Combination unit at an acute care hospital
- Level III trauma facility
- Adult and geriatric patient population; no pediatric patients
- Patient ratio of 6:1 with a current max census of 18 patients
- Common diagnoses include pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
- Equipment includes bladder scanners and glucometers
- EMR: Medhost
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No call or float requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS certification required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- Candidates must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
- Critical care thinking skills are preferred
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
