Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Adult) Night Shift position at a critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring a VT or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience.
Details
- General Med/Surg unit in a 25-bed, independent, nonprofit critical access hospital
- Primarily adult patient population with occasional pediatric patients
- Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Schedule includes every other weekend
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active VT RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience required
- Flu shot required — no exceptions
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process, with a holistic approach addressing physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs
- Works under the accountability of the Unit Director in close collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor
- This is not a dedicated pediatric floor — candidates with pediatric-only experience will not be considered
- Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
- All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date
