Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and recent trauma experience, with night shift availability and a valid NH or Compact RN license.
Details
- 27-bed medical-surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population is primarily elderly (18 ) with common diagnoses including post-op orthopedic and general surgery, ETOH, CHF, and pneumonia
- RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1; LNA-to-patient ratio of 3:1
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required (proof of state residency required if using Compact license)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments required
- Proficiency with post-surgical drains, central line care and maintenance, and Foley insertion
- Experience with G tubes, J tubes, NG tubes, and PEG tubes required
- IV medication administration and IV push experience required
- Wound care and O2 therapy experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references from managers required for consideration
