Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring AL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Night shift, 3x12 schedule (19:00-7:00) with option for 4x12s
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- May be asked to charge occasionally
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals
- On-call requirements not specified
Requirements
- Active AL or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification via AHA required
- Fit test required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac required
- Experience with peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred
- Experience with colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management preferred
- Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA preferred
- Any charting system experience accepted
- Paragon charting experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients, including wound care, IV therapy, and isolation precautions
- RTO requests limited to a maximum of 7 days
- Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
- Local candidates are considered for candidates residing within a 60-mile radius
