Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring at least 1 year of Epic EMR experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit
- Patient population is primarily elderly adults presenting with general medical/surgical conditions including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, 3x12-hour shifts
- Floating to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units they are qualified for
- Epic EMR required with a minimum of 1 year of experience
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; candidates with 1 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience will be considered
- Med/Surg Tele experience required, as floating to tele units is possible
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- The unit maintains a collaborative work environment with a charge RN present every shift to support flow and operations
- First-time travelers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on experience
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted Prisma Health campus to be eligible for this night shift Med/Surg Tele position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
