Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least 1 year of oncology experience and an active MT or compact RN license.
Details
- Works in a hospital-based Medical Oncology unit
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Epic used for charting
Requirements
- Active MT RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Oncology nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required; must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for unit or service
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for oncology patients
- Performs health teaching, counseling, and patient referrals as needed
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans and documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
