Description
American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-certified Infusion RN for a Monday–Friday day shift position requiring an active IL RN license and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification.
Details
- Outpatient infusion/consulting services department setting
- Administers IV therapies including antineoplastic agents, blood transfusions, and drug infusions via peripheral access or central venous devices
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (through the Oncology Nursing Society) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
- Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
- Strong EMR navigation and computer skills required
Additional Information
- Responsible for comprehensive patient assessments including pain, psychosocial, age-appropriate, and cultural considerations
- Educates patients and families on treatment plans, follow-up instructions, and medication therapy
- Manages antineoplastic agents and therapy in accordance with established safety protocols
- Communicates changes in patient status and diagnostic results to practitioners in a timely manner
- Participates in performance improvement activities
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
