Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee evening shift operations in a high-volume sterile processing department at a large hospital facility.
Details
- Supervise all Sterile Processing (SP) staff on an assigned evening shift
- Oversee cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation
- Manage storage and transport of surgical sets, instrumentation, and patient care equipment
- Coordinate transport of borrowed instruments and equipment across multiple facility entities and clinics
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Certified Sterile Processing credential required
- Experience in a comparable facility size required (500 bed facility experience for large academic hospital settings)
- Strong supervisory or leadership experience in sterile processing required
Additional Information
- Provide case picking education and training to staff
- Ensure collaborative communication across all parties involved in instrument transport and borrowing
- Coordinate staff attendance at educational programs and facilitate ongoing learning
- Monitor and report quality and productivity metrics within the department on a regular basis
- Incorporate safety and customer service expectations into daily operations
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
