Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a hospital in Corsicana, TX, requiring L&D and Postpartum experience with a minimum of 2 years in the specialty.
Details
- 14-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes laboring, postpartum, nursery, and mother-baby couplet patients
- Patient ratios vary by area: Labor 1:1–2, Nursery 1:6, Postpartum 1:6, Mother-Baby 1:3 couplets
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, three shifts per week (Sunday–Saturday)
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- EMR: Centricity
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license (currently in hand, not pending)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- L&D and Postpartum experience required; Nursery experience preferred
- All certifications must remain active through at least the first 30 days of the assignment
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Scrub color: any solid colors; OR scrubs are provided when necessary
- RTO is limited to less than one week per request, with a maximum of 36 hours total
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- 13-week contract
