Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OB unit covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- Work in the OB unit of a community hospital setting
- Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Maine (ME) or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
Additional Information
- Provide holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for OB patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
- Responsible for managing supplies and equipment within the unit
- Promote teamwork and collaboration with physicians and staff across hospital departments
- Must successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation
