Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 3 years of imaging experience and an active CA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Radiology department of an outpatient pavilion setting
- Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, either 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and unit requirements
- No blocked scheduling or self scheduling available
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience with required imaging experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum 1 year full-time equivalent experience in radiology specialty within the past 2 years
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Cardiac experience preferred
- Skills required: IV therapy and starting/maintaining IVs
- Preferred skills: implanted port care and maintenance, PICC line care and maintenance, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts allowed)
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two professional references required, including at least one supervisor/manager reference from the specialty unit within the past year
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department including imaging-related procedures
- First-time travelers may be considered based on qualifications
- Candidates previously employed by the facility must disclose this at submission and be re-approved prior to assignment
- Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travel nurse
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- Minimum 7 days of RTO required with no time off permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- RTO must be confirmed via screenshot at time of submission and cannot be changed after submission
