Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Acute Care ICU setting at a hospital in Olney, IL
- Night shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- 40 hours per week, 13-week contract
- Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
- Floating required on an as-needed basis
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Provides critical care nursing to ICU patients, including those on ventilators, utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Assists with intubation, central line insertions, arterial line insertions, and ongoing arterial line care
- Performs early mobility interventions with ventilated patients
- Delegates and validates care tasks with healthcare technicians (HCTs)
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Conducts initial patient assessments, develops and continuously modifies individualized care plans
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
- RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
