Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring critical care expertise, ventilator management, and willingness to float to PCU, with night shifts available in a 20-bed unit.
Details
- 20-bed ICU unit with floating responsibilities to PCU as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekends and holidays required as needed
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Meditech Expanse is the EMR system (strongly preferred)
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand — facility will not pend licensure, no exceptions
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of current critical care experience
- Proficiency with ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Willingness to float to PCU is required
- Own personal vehicle required
- BSN preferred
- TNCC preferred
- Critical Care skills checklist (current within 1 year) required for consideration
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests will not be approved at or after the time of offer, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
