Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level III Trauma hospital in Beckley, WV, requiring at least 1 year of endoscopy experience and AHA certifications.
Details
- GI/Endoscopy unit at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 4-bed endoscopy unit
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required, with additional weekend hours as needed
- On-call responsibilities required as needed
- Floating required as needed
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Active WV RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy RN experience required
- Proficiency with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Orientation is held biweekly on Wednesdays
- Candidates must reside 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Travelers who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Navy blue scrubs required; hospital OR scrubs also acceptable — casual wear is not permitted
- The facility is an academic teaching hospital offering extern programs for nursing and allied health students
