Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of GI nursing experience and a BSN.
Details
- Hospital-based GI Lab setting
- Procedures include EGD, EUS, Colonoscopy, and ERCP
- Must be able to recover patients/PACU-capable
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00–15:30)
- At least 2 weekend call shifts required
- On-call required: 1–2 weekday call shifts with a 30-minute response time
- Weekend on-call requirement of 2–3 days with a 30-minute response time
- Floating within scope or to like units required per facility needs
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- BSN required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy RN experience in a hospital setting
- PACU/recovery experience required
- Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes of the facility
- At least one prior travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information
- Performs and assists with advanced GI procedures including EGD, EUS, colonoscopy, and ERCP
- Responsible for patient recovery/PACU duties in addition to procedural support
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
