Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Jeffersonville, IN, requiring 2 years of acute care experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- Hospital Emergency Department (ED) setting in Jeffersonville, IN
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact state currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment and reassessment, plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- RN is expected to delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel as appropriate
- Patient and family education is a core component of this role
- Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts
- May serve in a mentor or preceptor capacity for other staff members
