Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications.

- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department providing urgent and emergency medical care
- Night shift schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM (3x12s)
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a Compact state currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
- Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
- Must provide date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
- Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors the accuracy of care provided by other team members
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
- Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
- BSN is preferred but not required
