Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting within a 379-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Level II Trauma Center designation
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Night shift schedule (7p–7a, 3x12)
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units within the department, though travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state
- Epic EMR — prior experience required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience — strictly enforced
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of total employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; solid print tops are not acceptable
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact the process
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
