Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wytheville, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and MedHost EMR proficiency.
Details
- Emergency Department (ER) in a community hospital setting
- 14-bed ED serving all patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Patient ratio of 1:4–5
- Equipment includes Baxter pumps and Spacelabs cardiac monitors
- EMR: MedHost (experience required)
- Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (11a–11p)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- MedHost EMR experience required
- Trauma experience preferred
- Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care to all patient populations in a community hospital ED
- Any color solid scrubs are acceptable
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
