Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level III Trauma facility, requiring at least 3 years of experience and active TX or Compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a Level III Trauma facility
- Single lab, single team, single physician environment with approximately 5–7 cases per day
- Procedures include stents, balloons, and diagnostic work on legs, renal, and carotid vessels (diagnostic only — no intervention)
- No cardiovascular backup on unit
- Lead gear is provided, though candidates may bring their own for a better fit
- Charting performed in MEDITECH
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts per week
- Daytime on-call (6a–6p) is not required when working 12-hour shifts
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required — pending certifications will not be accepted
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures including work on stents, balloons, and diagnostic leg, renal, and carotid cases
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- 13-week contract with a 12-hour orientation period
