Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week travel contract requiring an ID or compact RN license and at least 1-2 years of case management experience.
Details
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Case management unit within a hospital setting
- Responsibilities span medical necessity review, discharge planning, and utilization review
- Epic is the EMR system; experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active Idaho (ID) or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Identifies and communicates changes in the patient's plan of care to the multidisciplinary health care team
- Maintains working knowledge of community resources and referral processes
- Anticipates patient needs using length of stay (LOS) data, promoting resource stewardship and timely transitions to alternative levels of care
- Documents initial screenings and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
