Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a high-acuity critical care facility in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and a TN or Compact RN license.
Details
- Night shift position, 18:45–07:15
- 15-bed Critical Care Unit serving some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area
- Patient population includes cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, MI, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, and post-ventricular assist device placement
- Major service lines include cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery
- ICU-level care provided for complex cases including ECMO
- Patients range in age from adolescent through late adult (ages 14 )
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Direct patient care team includes RNs and Patient Care Techs
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Care for high-acuity patients receiving cardiothoracic surgery recovery, neuro/neurosurgery, and advanced cardiac interventions including ECMO
- Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
