Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a 12-week night shift travel contract requiring cardiac and neuro experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- CVICU unit within an acute care hospital (276 staffed beds)
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope to similar units is expected, with travelers floating first
- Charting via Epic
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered)
- Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant experience required (2 years preferred)
- Cardiac and neuro experience required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to start date
