Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) position in California, requiring 2 years of critical care experience and an active CA RN license.
Details
- 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) in a hospital setting
- Medium to high acuity patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients
- Patient cases include cardiac diagnoses, pre/post CABG surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute MI, post-pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia
- Patient-to-nurse ratio not to exceed 1:4
- Epic EMR — experience required
- 12-hour day shifts with a 0700 start
- Floating to other units, including Med/Surg, required as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provide medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to cardiovascular patients with medium to high acuity needs
- Patients are stable but carry a high potential for becoming unstable, with elevated complexity and existing co-morbidities
- Must be a W-2 employee of their agency — 1099 or corp-to-corp arrangements are not accepted
