Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Massachusetts, requiring a current MA RN license and a minimum of 3–5 years of interventional cath lab experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting, with rotation into the Prep/Recovery area and Nuclear Stress testing
- Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, device-related electrophysiology procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, and nuclear stress testing
- Must be immediately able to perform STEMI call
- Utilizes Cath Lab hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Documents using McKesson Cardiovascular EMR
- 13-week contract with 10-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (30 hours/week)
- 24 hours of weekly call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Schedule includes both weekdays and weekends
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3–5 years of current interventional cath lab experience required
- Experience with procedural sedation required
- Proficiency with Cath Lab hemodynamic monitoring required
- McKesson Cardiovascular EMR experience required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment
- Critical Care or Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
- CCRN certification strongly preferred
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care across the Cath Lab, Prep/Recovery Area, and Nuclear Stress testing environments
- Candidates who have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, permanent, or per diem) within the past year are not eligible — a minimum one-year separation from the health system is required
- Prior to the assignment start, candidates must pass a Dysrhythmia/ECG test (20 questions) and a Medication test (20 questions), each administered via Zoom — a score of 85% or higher is required to pass, with no opportunity for remediation or re-testing
- Testing must be completed within 48 hours of offer — candidates are encouraged to prepare using the study guide provided by the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Orientation is held on a biweekly schedule
- An interview with the nurse manager is required prior to offer — candidates should have availability dates and times ready
