Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burn ICU (BICU) position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Burn ICU (BICU) of a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of a large health system
- Patient population includes burn ICU patients; may also care for non-critical patients as both populations are managed on the unit
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required as needed
- Free on-site parking available
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Level II Trauma Center or equivalent experience preferred
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
- Nursing license must be free of prior disciplinary actions
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this role
- Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for this assignment
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if needed
- Active RN license is not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to start
