Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2 years of experience and prior travel experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a hospital in Southwest Florida.
Details
- Works in the respiratory therapy department of an acute care hospital
- Performs invasive and non-invasive ventilator management
- Bronchoscopy assistance required
- Familiarity with Hamilton and Servo ventilators is helpful
- EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- No on-call required
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the facility
Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- FL state license required if applicable
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Trauma experience is a plus
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — this rule is strictly enforced

- Candidates are expected to function at the level of core staff and integrate into the unit culture — flexibility and being a team player are highly valued
- Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be available on-site for badge/ID issuance and should have secured local housing in the area
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be approved after offer
- A full DOB and SS card are required for consideration
- Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the start date — no exceptions for pending documents
