Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2 years of acute care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Joplin, MO.
Details
- Respiratory therapy department at an acute care hospital
- Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract
- Weekends required as determined by facility
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active BLS certification required
- NRP, ACLS, and PEARS certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Post-secondary (undergraduate) education preferred
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
- A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Evaluate patient reactions to all forms of respiratory therapy and recommend corresponding treatment plans
- Collaborate and interact with patients, physicians, and nursing staff
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for this role
- Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Black scrubs are required; torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not acceptable
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be compensated at a reduced rate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- The facility has earned a CMS 3-Star Rating and recognitions including the NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award
