American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU) with Epic experience and pediatric critical care background for a day shift hospital assignment.

• Covers NICU, PICU, ER, and PEDs floors patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Floating to other units and campuses required based on census needs, within demonstrated competencies
• Uses Pyxis and Omnicell medication delivery systems
• Charts in EPIC EMR

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a comparable unit required
• RRT license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS
• National respiratory therapy license/certificate required
• State license required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience in Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatrics settings required
• Skilled in aerosol setup (mask and trach), Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) administration, and medication administration including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, and Xopenex
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including oxygen therapy, bag and mask, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and trach collar
• Capillary blood gases and apnea monitor experience preferred

• Provide respiratory care services across NICU, PICU, ER, and pediatric floor settings
• Perform nebulizer treatments including hand held and trach collar methods
• Participate in annual compliance orientation held every Monday
• Complete pre-assignment testing and training modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for full travel pay rate
