Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a weekend block contract requiring ARRT, LSRT, and BLS certifications with at least 1 year of experience including surgery/C-Arm and enema studies.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with work across multiple environments including the ED, ICU, NICU, PICU, OR, and outpatient settings
- Performs plain film radiography, fluoroscopy studies, and intraoperative C-Arm imaging
- Patient populations include neonates, infants, and geriatric patients
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and PACS
- Epic EMR required
- Weekend block schedule: Friday through Sunday, 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM (3x12-hour day shifts)
- Rotating on-call requirement
- Float to surgery as needed
- Holiday coverage required
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract; please minimize RTO requests during Mardi Gras (2/13–2/22)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- ARRT, LSRT (temporary LSRT accepted; takes 3–5 days to issue), and BLS required
- Experience with neonate, infant, and geriatric patient populations required
- Experience with enema studies (barium enema – air and single contrast) required
- Experience with surgery/C-Arm procedures required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow/esophagus, contrast enema, and upper GI series
- Experience with portable and bedside procedures (portable chest, portable abdomen) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least two recent manager references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing plain films, fluoroscopy studies, C-Arm procedures in surgery, and portable/bedside imaging across multiple care settings
- Scrub color is hunter green
- First-time travelers are eligible for this position
- Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate
- Former permanent employees of any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date and range from 2–4 hours for allied health positions
