Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray at a 632-bed Magnet, teaching, Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and Level 1 Trauma background required.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 632 staffed beds — Magnet-designated, teaching facility, and Level 1 Trauma center
- Works in a fast-paced X-Ray department performing general diagnostic exams for the Emergency Department and inpatient units
- 5x8-hour day shifts with a start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
- Every third weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
- No floating within the facility or to sister facilities
- Charts using Epic (experience preferred; training provided during orientation)
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Surgery experience preferred
- Active BLS and ARRT certification required
- Active Michigan state license required by start date; compact licenses are not accepted in MI — license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to provide proof of high school level education
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel
- RTO is capped at 5 days per assignment and must be submitted at time of consideration
- Former core staff or travelers must wait 12 months before returning; eligibility should be verified prior to submission
- Pre-start online modules are required and vary by specialty
- Hunter green scrubs required
