Description
American Traveler is seeking a Multimodality/Radiology Technologist with active ARRT(R) certification and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in a hospital radiology department.
Details
- Hospital radiology department setting serving both ambulatory and inpatient populations
- Performs a combination of radiographic imaging procedures including radiography, mammography, CT scanning, and operative C-arm
- Night shift schedule: Tuesday–Thursday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Friday 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, Saturday 11:00 PM–7:30 AM (Sunday)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years in radiography, mammography, CT scanning, and operative C-arm preferred
- Active ARRT(R) certification required
- Current IEMA Radiography license required
- BLS required
- Current state licensure required, if applicable
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with patients and care teams
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians or licensed providers, under general supervision of a Radiologist
- Responsible for verifying patient identity using two identifiers and ensuring accurate documentation including diagnosis codes and ABNs
- Reviews image quality prior to releasing patients and ensures all required paperwork is complete
- Maintains and cleans imaging equipment on a routine basis and assists with calibration
- Follows radiation safety protocols and standard precautions at all times
- Participates in department performance improvement activities and inventory management
