Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with inpatient experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Colorado.
Details
- Work setting includes inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments within a rehabilitation gymnasium
- Patients range from newborns to elderly individuals with conditions limiting mobility and functional daily activities
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Colorado PTA license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience required
- Inpatient experience required
- Outpatient experience preferred
- Bilingual skills are helpful
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently across varied patient populations and team dynamics
Additional Information
- Implements selected components of physical therapy treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Collects patient data related to interventions and modifies selected treatments to ensure patient progress, safety, and comfort
- Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager
- Work is performed in a newly built, state-of-the-art rehabilitation gymnasium
- Potential exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases
