Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a current Kentucky PTA license and home health experience for a 13-week travel contract covering Lewis and Carter Counties.
Details
- Home health setting serving patients in their homes and community settings across Lewis and Carter Counties in Kentucky
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Patient population includes individuals requiring skilled PT interventions for mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment including nursing, OT, speech therapy, social work, and home health aides
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current Kentucky PTA license in good standing; license required if applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Minimum 1 year of current, relevant experience required
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Home health experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Provide skilled PT interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the established plan of care
- Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, fall prevention, and adaptive equipment use
- Responsible for accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, state, federal, and payer requirements
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education
- Fleet vehicle and paid gas card provided for travel within the dedicated service area
