Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an outpatient therapy position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and an IL PT license.
Details
- Outpatient therapy setting
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, no weekend or holiday shifts
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- Treats patients of all ages across orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Utilizes Epic for daily documentation and charting
- Performs therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant physical therapy experience
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Valid IL PT license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluation, plan of care development, and treatment across orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses
- Duties include objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance, as well as therapeutic taping
- Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using appropriate teaching methods
- Supervises and monitors support personnel in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Interviews are conducted by facility leadership prior to selection
