American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment, requiring home health experience and a valid Michigan PT license.

• Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00am-5:00pm, full-time 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 4-6 weeks
• No on-call requirement
• No floating requirement
• Documentation completed in the electronic health record per compliance timelines

• Valid Michigan PT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Home health experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Current Michigan driver's license required
• Availability of a personal vehicle for daily business use required
• Proof of auto insurance required for consideration

• Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions
• Duties include interpreting referrals, conducting standardized assessments, and establishing functional baselines to track patient progress
• Participates in interdisciplinary team discussions, rounds, and clinics
• Provides patient, family, and community education on treatment plans
• May design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices
• May cross-train and provide coverage in other departments within Rehabilitation Services as needed
• Serves as a subject matter resource and may provide in-services within the Rehabilitation System
• Proof of flu vaccination required, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of signing
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments when needed
