American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital Medical Rehabilitation Unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and WV PT licensure prior to start.

• Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a trauma-level hospital
• Patient population is primarily stroke patients (~40%)
• Caseload of 3–5 patients per day, approximately 90 minutes per patient
• 5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• Charting performed in Cerner

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• WV PT license required prior to start; pending licensure accepted during the application process
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of this facility are not eligible to return as a traveler until 2 years after their last day of permanent employment
• Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); exemptions are accepted only with documentation of an allergy from an allergist or physician. Flu vaccine is not required outside of this window
• COVID vaccine is not required
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable except blue, forest green, or maroon (reserved for nursing staff); unit T-shirts are available to travelers
