American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic proficiency.

• Acute care hospital setting within an OR unit at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
• 407 total staffed beds
• Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule with variable start times (6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM)
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call is limited to coverage for call-offs only
• May float to like units within scope as needed
• Charting via Epic (required)
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking on site

• Active Alaska RN license required; pending licenses may be considered but license must be in hand prior to offer
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also meet the 50-mile radius requirement
• All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• RTO is approved on an individual basis — minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
