American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at a hospital in Jerome, ID, requiring at least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details- Inpatient rehab therapy setting covering Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed areas
- Caseload of 8–10 patients per day with 1 therapist on per day
- Common diagnoses include ortho/total joints, neurological (strokes), occasional brain injuries, medical, and general ICU patients
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (0830–1700)
- May be required to float to a nearby sister facility when census is low
- No self-scheduling; no blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests accepted
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Epic EMR used in this position
- Active OT license required for consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation typically consists of 2–3 days of department-specific onboarding; travelers should plan for a standard M–F schedule during this period
- Scrubs are permitted; color must not match other departments — approved color list provided upon hire
- Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
