American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1 year of acute care experience and an active WA license, with first-time travelers welcome.

• Acute Care Hospital unit within a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 8-9:1
• Position may float between units and sister facilities
• Weekend rotation required, approximately one weekend per month with comparable days off on both sides
• Epic charting system preferred

• Active WA OT license required in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is a plus but not required
• Experience with edema massage, kinesiotaping, prosthetics/orthotics, functional splints, static splints, and orthoplast preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• BLS certification may be required
• Must be a collaborative team player

• First-time travelers are considered for this role
• Scrub color is unrestricted across all units
• No on-call requirements
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered local and offered a reduced rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
