American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1 year of acute care experience and BLS certification.

• Acute Care Hospital setting with medically complex patients in a fast-paced environment
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Meditech charting system experience preferred

• Current KY OT license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• AHA-issued certifications only accepted

• Work with medically complex patients requiring comfort in fast-paced acute care settings
• Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Skills may include splinting, prosthetics/orthotics care, and modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound
• Perform patient/family education, home exercise programs, and safety/injury prevention training
• First-time travelers with strong qualifications will be considered
• Candidates must reside within 65 miles of the facility, and must be within 30 minutes in case of emergency
• Local candidates are not accepted under this radius policy
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to confirmation
