American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for a night shift contract position providing critical care and infant transport services.

• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
• Responsible for transport of infants to/from referral health systems
• Uses Epic EMR
• Straight night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• No holiday coverage required

• Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Less than 1 year of experience required

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic treatments and assist physicians
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Identify and document significant changes in patient condition and communicate with care team
• Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action per protocol
• Complete documentation including order entry, EMR charting, and incident reports
• Process patient charges and verify reports as needed
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment per protocol
• Deliver high-quality critical care in accordance with organizational patient care guidelines
